A good paragraph is a paragraph which including Coherence and Cohesion, Means that it has a complete components, related each other (Coherence), and built a united forming of the paragraph (Cohesion). When we would like to write a good paragraph we have to include at least three components of paragraph itself, there are topic sentence, supporting sentence, and closing or concluding sentence.
Paragraph can be derives into adequate and inadequate Cohesion. To make an adequate Cohesion, you have to make sure that the topic sentence as a main idea is forming a united whole of paragraphs with a constructical and structural sentence. Topic sentences will be support by some united sentence to make the idea clear as a whole.
Otherwise, inadequate Cohesion is when the idea is not forming a united whole of paragraphs. Furthermore, the most important thing is pay attention for the details of ideas and unity between each of paragraphs for developing the paragraph.
What is Coherence
Coherence in writing means that all the ideas in a paragraph flow smoothly from one sentence to the next sentence. With coherence, the reader has an easy time understanding the ideas that you wish to express.
What is Cohesion
Cohesion is the glue that holds a piece of writing together. In the words, if a paper is cohesive, it sticks together from sentence to sentence and from paragraph to paragraph.
